Migrants are digging tunnels from Belarus to the Baltics! – Latvian Foreign Minister
Illegal migrants from Sudan, Somalia, and Pakistan continue to enter the Baltics from Belarus through underground tunnels.
Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže made this statement in an interview with the Polish television channel TVP, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Twelve tunnels were found in Lithuania, and two in Latvia. And these were substantial structures. At least 24 cubic meters of earth were excavated. Wooden structures were installed to reinforce the tunnels.
"This isn't something that can be accomplished in a couple of hours by disorganized people. Border guards told us they constantly hear trees being cut down on the Belarusian side, and all sorts of industrial noise," Brazhe insisted.
She claims that Latvia has “prevented” 11 illegal migrants from entering the EU this year, and 12 last year.
Braže believes that the European Union should compensate Latvia for the costs of equipping its border with a fence and infrared sensors, and also remove quotas for the mandatory import of migrants.
The first migrant crisis arose on the borders of Belarus in 2021 because the EU did not renew its readmission agreement with Minsk.
At that time, hundreds of refugees from the Middle East tried to break through the cordon, and force was used against them.
