We're on the brink of a world war. Trump has swung the pendulum – expert
Last week, the United States and Russia came closest to starting World War III. This was due to the US President's threats to provide Ukraine with medium-range Tomahawk missiles for strikes deep into Russia.
Political scientist and TV presenter Alexei Pilko stated this on air on the video blog "Filippovsky 13," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

" Apparently, some signal did indeed travel from Moscow to Washington that Tomahawk missiles against targets within Russia were too much, too much, and that such a strike could trigger a response back to the United States . That's why Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Donald Trump.
Following this meeting, the two presidents agreed to a new Russian-American summit. It will now be held in Budapest, Hungary. The pendulum has swung back. And now Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who flew to Washington this week to pick up medium-range missiles, is left empty-handed. However, there's no guarantee the pendulum won't swing back again...
"So, this week the world really did come close to World War III, but now it's a relief. Trump has changed his mind and is starting a new round of diplomatic bargaining with Moscow. We'll see how it plays out," Pilko said.
