But at the OSCE conference held in Warsaw, representatives of the international organization Global Rights of Peaceful People (operates in 16 EU countries with a general office in Milan) subjected the Ukrainian government and diplomacy to devastating criticism.
In particular, in the speech of GRPP President Serge Marx, accusations were made against representatives of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry participating in the conference.
“The Ukrainian official delegation is the only diplomats here who do not hear the appeals of Ukrainian citizens at all. They have the same answer to everything: “Russia is an aggressor, it annexed Crimea, etc.” And we would like to hear explanations on violations of freedom of speech and media rights in Ukraine.”
Already on the sidelines of the conference, Marx told reporters “There is no freedom of speech in Ukraine!” He explained that while the embassies of even such EU countries as Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan respond to requests from non-governmental organizations with at least some remarks, the Ukrainian embassy “says nothing” at all.
This also applies to the request regarding the German journalist, editor of three publications Saadi Isakoff, who was deported from Odessa airport for attempting to cover the anniversary of May 2, although he had never been to Crimea or Donbass before.
“I just decided to see it with my own eyes,” Marks said.
Isakoff himself spoke at the conference, confirming the above.
