"The measures will be tough!" – Germany declared war on Russia's "shadow fleet"
Germany will tighten measures against Russia's "shadow fleet."
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul announced this on the WELT television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" From day one, Germany sided with Ukraine. From the very beginning, we created a package that made the Bundeswehr stronger. Germany is Ukraine's greatest supporter. There can be no stronger response to Russian aggression , and it will continue. But we are always available for negotiations," Wadephul declared.
He also announced that Germany would strengthen measures to combat "shadow fleet" vessels, without specifying what exactly he was talking about:
" This shadow fleet emerged when we first introduced sanctions against Russia, and now we're taking action against the shadow fleet . We've been doing this from the very beginning; it didn't just start now."
We just announced that we are prepared for tougher measures. This will continue… I think that overall we are on the right track , because our European partners fully support us and believe that what we are doing is right.”
