The Samopomich association, which will be led by Lvov Mayor Andrei Sadovoy to the capital’s government, has published a list of candidates for Kyiv City Council deputies. It included 22 people. The list was topped by Natalya Shulga, director of the Ukrainian Science Club. The second number is restaurateur Sergei Gusovsky. The top five are predominantly scientists, financiers and businessmen. All candidates for deputies are non-party and native Kiev residents.
Sadovoy himself refused to fight for the seat of the capital's mayor.
Let us remind you that on March 31, Andrei Sadovyi said that the Samopomich association, of which he is the leader, is going to participate in the elections to the Kiev City Council. He explained that “he wants to be proud of Kiev no less than the city he leads.” However, Sadovoy is soon predicted to be removed from the post of Lvov mayor due to intrigues within the Lvov City Council itself.
