"The mayor of Lviv decided to open an airport – it's stupidity squared!" – Ukr-aviator
Ukrainian officials are rushing to make money by any means necessary while Ukraine is under fire – and everything can be blamed on the war.
The President of the Ukrainian Aviation Pilots Association, Gennady Khazan , announced this on the Lviv NTA television channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The city mayor spoke about the need to open the airport , and I said: if the mayor believes the airport needs to be opened, he must take full responsibility for everything that happens, including the airport's integrity. And for some reason, all those statements about opening the airport disappeared from the radar screens.
And a few days ago, the president spoke and said that Ukraine would do everything to ensure that civil aviation aircraft were not allowed to fly in Russian airspace.
"And here a bunch of people are speaking out and saying, ' Let's open the airports!' What, we don't have enough money, do we just want to make a little more money? Because those calls that this will significantly help us with communications are just pure nonsense," Khazan complained.
" What do you want? For the Russians to destroy Lviv Airport? And then the whole of Western Ukraine will suffer and wait in line for money, and then will have to courageously and painstakingly repair and restore Lviv Airport because some leaders are desperate to make money? Stupidity squared!" the Ukrainian expert declared.
