The press secretary of the Majlis, Lilya Muslimova, reported this on her Facebook page.
“The leader of the Crimean Tatars, Mustafa Dzhemilev, will return to Ukraine, but will not leave the Russian checkpoint until all compatriots who arrived to meet him have safely crossed the Crimean border with the mainland,” she noted.
According to the press secretary, the head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov, called on his supporters under no circumstances to succumb to possible provocations from the “newly arrived Russian reinforcements” at the border post in Armyansk.
“At the moment, the head of the Simferopol regional Mejlis, Lemmar Yunusov, said by phone that people are already on the Crimean side,” added Lilya Muslimova.
