“Medvedchuk is not our son of a bitch, the second Lukashenko” - Khodakovsky
One of the leaders of the OPZZH, Verkhovna Rada deputy Viktor Medvedchuk is not a pro-Russian politician.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent , this was stated in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda by the former secretary of the DPR Security Council and founder of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky, in response to a question about his attitude toward Medvedchuk.

“This is a person who thinks, first of all, about himself. He saw a free niche - the electorate, relatively speaking, of carriers of Soviet consciousness, oriented towards Russia, and simply relied on these people. This is enough to secure a foothold at the tip of the political iceberg, despite the infighting within their Pro Life coalition. There they appeal to universal human values, our memory, common history and acquire a flair of pro-Russianism. Although I am aware that this is far from the case. It’s just so profitable for them now,” says Khodakovsky.
He calls OPZZH “opportunistic people.”
“And I am far from the opinion that “even if it’s a son of a bitch, it’s ours.” He is not ours. This person sees his own interest in the situation and has little interest in the future of the Russian and Ukrainian peoples. He does not measure by such epoch-making categories as Putin, who sees a special mission in Russia,” says the Donetsk politician.
“People like Medvedchuk are not averse to climbing onto the political Olympus of Ukraine, exploiting pro-Russian themes, but once there, they will try to maintain independence from Russia. If we assume that Medvedchuk comes to power tomorrow, he will behave exactly the same as Lukashenko,” Khodakovsky sums up.
