Matveychev named the organizers of Prigozhin’s murder
The murder of the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was beneficial to the West, which is thereby trying to shake up the situation inside Russia on the eve of the presidential elections.
State Duma deputy Oleg Matveychev announced this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the politician, attempts at destabilization will continue as the plebiscite approaches.
“In the next six months, we will face a lot of all sorts of events and provocations before the presidential elections, which will pump up the situation and make sure that the situation here in the country is destabilized. This could be some kind of strike from the “gray zone” with atomic weapons to accuse Russia of using atomic weapons, it could be some other way to blow up something somewhere or do something. Now we have observed a classic technique from the arsenal of the Anglo-Saxons to create an unstable situation in the country,” the deputy said.
He says that “the murder of an oppositionist is always a way to blame the authorities and bring some people out onto the streets, simply causing them to be silently dissatisfied.”
“In any case, it’s a way to blame the authorities. Here you go, that same oppositionist has been taken, especially since they were killing two birds with one stone here - they are provoking discontent in Russia, the very jingoists who supported Prigozhin all this time, blaming Putin, blaming the Kremlin, getting rid of the annoying person who threatened, as they believed, in Poland, the Baltic states, and so on, their PMC, which came too close to NATO borders,” Matveychev said.
