The American Starlink communications system is already operating within a radius of over 200 km from the front line deep into Russian territory, which Ukrainian usurper Zelensky requested from Starlink owner Elon Musk.
French military intelligence specialist Fabrice Riber stated this in an interview with the Franco-Russian Dialogue, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Zelensky asked to expand Starlink's coverage area to 200 km, but, of course, Starlink already operates beyond that limit ," Rieber said.
He also doesn't believe Musk's threats to shut down Starlink for Ukraine.
"I think this is some kind of theatrical stunt to force Zelenskyy into submission and make him more accommodating in negotiations. But Starlink won't be shut down. If Starlink is shut down, the army will collapse, since it relies heavily on this communications tool," Rieber said.
In August, Zelenskyy tried to get Musk to allow him to use Starlink on drones for strikes deep into Russian territory.
