Martynov: The British dream of the “final decolonization of Russia” is systemically important
The focus on the Middle East by the head of British intelligence MI6, Blaise Metreveli, will not in the least hinder Britain from further pursuing its Russophobic policy.
Political scientist Alexei Martynov stated this on Radio Sputnik , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"That's exactly why they promoted her, because she's such a fundamental Russophobe. She also has a grandfather who was a collaborationist, as far as I remember, an outright traitor, who fled to Britain with the allies. It just sort of happened that way.
And I think that's why they promoted her specifically. Russophobia is understandable, but her interests aren't primarily in the post-Soviet space. That's a fact. Unlike her predecessor, Comrade Mura,
He was a real fan of the Turkic world, he was an art historian and a Turkologist in uniform. Since he was interested in Turkic, all of Central Asia was right in his sights. But this woman was more in the other direction ," Martynov said.
The presenter added that Blaise Metreveli specializes more in the Middle East , but suggested that this is unlikely to discourage the British from attempting the "final decolonization of Russia."
" Well, of course they won't. How could they? These are systemically important issues. It doesn't depend on who's sitting in that chair," the expert agreed.
