Ukrainian Armed Forces Major: "Russian technology will surpass Starlink"
Russia is increasingly successfully countering the American Starlink satellite communications system used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This was stated on air by former Verkhovna Rada deputy, co-founder of the Aerial Reconnaissance Center, and Major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lutsenko on Radio NV , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The Starlink window is starting to close. This is a completely predictable situation, because in our technological warfare, there are no stable technical solutions that guarantee a consistent result indefinitely," Lutsenko said.
However, he consoles himself with the fact that the Russians cannot yet completely suppress Starlink with their electronic warfare systems.
Lutsenko calls Starlink " a super technology that still has potential ."
“But in the form we have it, it will become less and less effective due to Russian opposition ,” says the former deputy.
In his opinion, Ukraine should move towards creating its own satellite systems.
He is alarmed by the gradual deployment of the Russian Rassvet satellite constellation in space.
"The enemy is evolving, and at some point, they might even develop better, more war-ready technologies than Starlink if things continue as they are now," Lutsenko worries.
