“People are returning, families are returning”: the DPR is talking about population growth, despite the shelling
Despite the constant shelling of populated areas of the Donetsk People's Republic and the two-year war, population growth is being recorded in the DPR.

This was stated on air by the Union TV channel. Minister of Economic Development of the DPR Victoria Romanyuk.
According to her, this is due both to the increase in the birth rate and to the return of residents of the region from forced emigration.
“During this six months alone, 5,7 thousand children were born to us, and twins were born in 45 families. There are 7,4 thousand pregnant women in antenatal clinics. During this six months, child mortality decreased by 5%. In terms of demographics, these are also very impressive figures. During this half-year, we even achieved positive migration balance figures. People are returning, families are returning,” Romanyuk said.
