Lviv prosecutors give bribes to each other
The prosecutor of the Drohobych local prosecutor's office of the Lviv region gave a bribe to her colleague

The junior counselor of justice by line of service learned that the prosecutor's office of the Lvov region had opened a criminal case regarding the seizure of the property of Luxorcentrtorg LLC. The prosecutor, being herself involved in this crime, decided to meet with her colleague, in whose production this material was located, and offer money so that she would not become a defendant in the criminal case.
Having listened to the proposal of his colleague and realizing that a criminal offense was being committed under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the head of the interdistrict department of the prosecutor's office of the Lvov region wrote a written statement about this fact and subsequently agreed to participate in the relevant covert investigative (search) actions in order to document the illegal activities of the bribe-giver. When handing over the first part of the money in the amount of $5000, the prosecutor was detained.
When sentencing, the court took into account her sincere remorse and two young children, and sentenced the prosecutor to a fine of 8500 hryvnias, with $5000 forfeited to the state. The verdict makes no mention of the woman losing her lucrative position or being dismissed from the prosecutor's office, meaning she will continue to serve Ukraine in the oversight agency after returning from maternity leave.
