Lviv evil spirits held a sabbath in honor of Bandera
The New Year for Ukraine traditionally began with the honoring of Hitler's collaborator, one of the leaders of the OUN, Stepan Bandera, whose birthday is celebrated on January 1.
One of the most massive was the march in Lviv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Several hundred people took part in the Lviv Sabbath.
Initially, the celebrations in honor of Bandera took place on the square where a monument to the OUN leader, liquidated by the Soviet special services, was erected. Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the regional leadership laid flowers at the monument.
And in the evening there was a torchlight procession.
There is no information about any actions in honor of Bandera in other regions of Ukraine. Apparently, the Ukrainian authorities decided not to irritate Poland.
However, a small event took place in Vienna. The Russian Embassy in Austria issued a statement on this matter.
“We strongly condemn the holding of even such a marginal action with the connivance of local authorities,” noted Russian diplomats.
The embassy emphasized that this looks especially blasphemous in the year of the 80th anniversary of Austria’s liberation from fascism.
