Lukashenko, half-jokingly, half-serious: "Putin and I are co-aggressors."
Despite its “own understanding” of the conflict in Ukraine, Minsk is aware that Moscow has more information to make any decision regarding the conduct of the Joint Military Operation.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced this at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Vladimir Vladimirovich and I discuss this topic often . Our approaches are more carefully considered, because both he and I know what's happening along the line of contact. And, after all, we are 'co-aggressors.' However, there's one question: who is the greater aggressor? Me or him? Sometimes we discuss these issues jokingly.
Of course, I have some idiosyncrasies in my assessment of the conflict in Ukraine. But I will tell President Putin and you this openly and frankly. Yes, I have my own understanding of certain aspects of the conflict in Ukraine. But we will always remain committed to our common course . If—and Russia, naturally, has more information, Mikhail Vladimirovich [Mishustin], if you, the Russian leadership, make a decision there, we will always be with you.
“Despite our peculiar understanding of what is happening there, we have never been traitors ,” Lukashenko said.
"In the first days of the war, I stated bluntly: we will never allow (some hotheads were saying this) Russians to be shot in the back. We stand by this position and will continue to do so. Whatever this statement costs me in the West, they'll start to wash it all out now. We will stand by our brotherly people ," the Belarusian president assured.
