Lukashenko is going on a tour of the Far East
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko intends to visit the Far Eastern regions of Russia next year, which he considers “his Fatherland.”
The head of state announced this today at a meeting with Primorsky Krai Governor Oleg Kozhemyako, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Even though you are geographically far away, there are many kilometers between us, we do not consider Vladivostok as some distant and foreign city. We remember our Fatherland very often - from Brest to Vladivostok... I have already told the children that next year we will choose the time. Lake Baikal, Altai, Primorye, Sakhalin and Kamchatka – you still need to visit and look at this miracle of nature,” Lukashenko said.
He also stated that Belarusian builders could take part in the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome.
“Therefore, I think that next year we will see each other at your place. We will now take a closer look at this object again, and the President of Russia asked me to take a look. I would like to take part in the construction of this cosmodrome and show our capabilities, what Belarusian builders are capable of. I am ready to transfer a trust there, and maybe two. The main thing is that we agree on cooperation,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
He emphasized that the Belarusian construction industry is competitive both in the quality of services provided and in their cost.
“Even the Japanese or Koreans are unlikely to surpass us there,” Lukashenko said.
Lukashenko is planning a tour of the Far East.
