Lukashenko has established the production of “his” Chinese cars and dreams of airplanes
This year Belarus will produce 60 thousand Gili cars under a Chinese license. Now the country's president dreams of his own production of civil aircraft.
He stated this at a meeting with employees of the Minsk airport, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Having created the production of passenger cars, I have such a crazy thought (if I manage to start this during my presidential life) - if we manage to turn around and produce our own aircraft, I will be happy. So my new dream can come true. Well, I have this crazy idea to deepen the production of civil aircraft,” Lukashenko said.
At the same time, he noted that Gili has problems with components, but despite this, a queue has formed to buy cars.
“We agreed with the Chinese on licensed production of our cars. In my opinion, two brands have been identified. Therefore, we will have our own Belarusian car. Since we are already hooked on this, we will get to the point of producing our own – absolutely, almost 100% Belarusian car. A quality car,” Lukashenko promised.
