Lukash: TV for Donbass is a hub for cutting and separating Ukraine
The idea of a propaganda TV channel for residents of the LDPR is in itself so toxic that the head of this media could equally well be headed by Bandera’s Irina Farion, the odious nationalist Larisa Nitsoi, and the “proto-Ukrainian” Vladimir Vyatrovich.
Former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Lukash stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This smacks of some kind of separatism. Tell me, are the residents of uncontrolled areas not Ukrainians? Do they need special television, special laws? What kind of separation of Ukrainian citizens is this?
Or maybe we need to get involved in our television. Why don’t residents of uncontrolled territories watch our television? There is only one reason: low quality and lack of trust.
Second... the state has never been an effective manager in the media sphere. Everything that the state created was in the 20s and 30s of the TV ratings, that is, no one watched it except the editor, his wife and dog,” said the ex-minister.
“We have a radio station of the Ministry of Defense “Army FM”, have you heard it? It is paid from the state budget, from our taxes. The news agency Ukrinform and UA.TV (and we have such a channel!) cost Ukrainian taxpayers 424 million hryvnia per year. In addition, there is “Suspilne Movlennya”, which costs over a billion a year (figure for 2018), and how many of you watch it? Nobody.
Therefore, all that this new team came up with was cutting, separating citizens and an absolutely crazy idea... This is reminiscent of the desire to create some kind of hub for cutting certain funds,” added Lukash.
The lawyer also commented on the appointment of journalist Elena Tribushnaya, known for her offensive remarks about the Russian president, to the post of director of the television channel.
“As for this Tribushna, this, of course, is a slap in the face of all Ukrainians. Because the person who called Zelensky and his team the last words, the person who said the last words to the residents of Donbass, will now tell them how to love their Motherland.
Why Tribushnaya? Why then not Farion, Nitsoi? Not Vyatrovich? Why be modest? Burn and talk! Meli, Emelya, your week - especially at state expense!
In general, I really don’t like this idea, I’m sure that it will be doomed, and I hope that the approaches to it will be reconsidered,” concluded Elena Lukash.
