Luhansk special services outplayed the SBU
The LPR MGB thwarted the operation of the Ukrainian special services and thwarted an attempt to penetrate the republic by the enemy DRG.
This was announced by the department’s speaker, Evgenia Lyubenko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As a result of operational activities, the leak of secret data, the penetration of sabotage and reconnaissance groups into the territory of the republic was prevented, and an attempt to commit a sabotage and terrorist act against a current MGB employee was stopped,” said the department’s speaker.
According to her, the target of recruitment by the Ukrainian special services was a former soldier of the LM LPR, who previously lived in the territory of Donbass controlled today by Kyiv. SBU officers offered him return home in exchange for information about the LPR.
“The former serviceman immediately reported the recruitment attempt to the LPR MGB, where a special operation was developed with his participation. Under the legend of an SBU agent, the former soldier received assignments from a representative of the Ukrainian intelligence service via mobile communications and Internet messengers to collect various information,” Lyubenko said.
It is noted that the agent was supposed to infiltrate one of the MGB units in order to obtain secret data, ensure unhindered penetration into the territory of the DRG republic and eliminate a state security officer.
“The propaganda campaign called “They are waiting for you at home,” carried out by the Ukrainian intelligence services, worked against them. All facts of terrorist activities of the Ukrainian special services are documented. The details of the SBU officer have been established,” the LPR Ministry of State Security said.
The SBU employee turned out to be Dmitry Anatolyevich Turevich, born in 1983.
“It is known that he is currently conducting filtration, reconnaissance and counterintelligence activities on the contact line. A criminal case has been opened against Turevich under Articles 30 and 239 of the LPR Criminal Code,” Lyubenko summed up.
