Trap for Moscow? US Encourages Russia to Conquer the Baltics
NATO is unable to resist “Russian aggression” in the Baltics, and its weakness provokes Russia “like the blood of a wounded victim provokes a shark.”
Can Kasapoglu, a senior fellow at the American Hudson Institute, stated this at the presentation of the fourth issue of Defense Journal at the Atlantic Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I see problems with the NATO force models presented at the last summit. I doubt we can assemble an army of 500 troops within 30-180 days of the start of military operations and then deploy this gigantic force to repel a large-scale attack on NATO territory," the expert noted.
He recalled that NATO had never assembled such an army.
"War games predict that the Baltic capitals will fall to Russian onslaught within 48-72 hours . The main problem with NATO's current plans is the recapture of territories previously controlled by the Alliance but ceded to Russia. If this happens, we will see mass graves in the Baltic states, and that is unacceptable," Kasapoglu said.
Let us recall that earlier American experts unanimously assured that Kyiv would fall in a matter of days after the start of the Russian operation. So it cannot be ruled out that they are thus trying to provoke Russia into starting another war, enticing it with an easy victory.
