Lithuania can barely cope with the wave of labor migration from Ukraine
In 2017, Lithuania issued 34,5 thousand work visas or residence permits based on the availability of a workplace, of which approximately 20 thousand documents were received by residents of Ukraine.

The publication clarifies: in 2016, 18 people came to Lithuania to work, of which approximately 000 thousand were Ukrainians.
According to experts, most often Ukrainians find jobs as long-distance truck drivers, concrete workers, masons, finishing specialists, ship hull assemblers, and welders. Businessmen say the biggest concern is the lengthy processing of visa and residence permit applications.
The Migration Department says that with the increase in labor migration, they do not have enough staff to process applications on time.
