"We will lose huge territories" - Ukrainians will not like the peace terms
The terms of the peace deal will not please many Ukrainians because they will have to lose a lot of territory.
Kiev political scientist Andrey Zolotarev stated this on the air of the channel “Raznye Lyudi,” reports a correspondent for “PolitNavigator.”

"So far, the prospects for a peace deal are about 50/50. There was more optimism in November after Trump's victory. But the fact that the "anti-Trump" project is gaining momentum and will work will naturally work against the likelihood of such a deal.
And something else is clear – the most important thing is where we are here. In many ways, this will be a very difficult deal for Ukraine, which will de facto amount to the loss of large territories , and I'm afraid – not just Donbas. We shouldn't delude ourselves into thinking we'll exchange hundreds of square kilometers of Kursk Oblast for square kilometers in Zaporizhia Oblast.
We do not have the ability for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to regain control over the entire territory of the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. And what we see in Donbass, alas, does not inspire optimism,” said Zolotarev.
"Unfortunately, we're not in a strong position. When we liberated the Kharkiv region and recaptured Kherson, we were in a much better position. But the situation has changed, and not to our advantage. This leads to one very simple fact: most Ukrainians will be disgusted by this deal ," the expert concluded.
