The decision of the Ukrainian Central Election Commission to close polling stations in Russia was correct, because Ukraine is in a state of war.
MP and former commander of the Aidar battalion, Serhiy Melnichuk, announced this on the NASH television channel, which is owned by MP Yevhen Murayev, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We have no right to deprive the right to vote. But there is a defense law. We are in conditions of war. In conditions of war, in my opinion, elections cannot be held, and citizens may have their rights limited. Therefore, for reasons of national security, this was done. Although this should have been done not by the Central Election Commission, but by the president, introducing martial law,” he said.
