If only the Internet didn't let us down: Crimean tourists are promised a quick search for a toilet linked to a working beach
About ten beach areas are closed for repairs this season after damage from the "storm of the century" in 2023. Most of the areas undergoing repairs will reopen in time for the swimming season.
The Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, Sergei Ganzii , announced this on the air of the radio station "Sputnik in Crimea" , reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

"The number of beaches will definitely not decrease during the upcoming swimming season. A Council of Ministers decree on preparing the republic for the peak tourist season has been approved, with a separate section devoted to preparing beach areas. Extensive work is underway to bring the beaches up to standard and process the necessary documentation for the water surface. And the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities is currently working on the beaches damaged by the "storm of the century." This applies to Greater Yalta and Greater Alushta . Deadlines have been set for these areas, and the work should be completed sometime in April or May.
As for other regions, starting this week, we'll be working with a large team, including Rosprirodnadzor, Rospotrebnadzor, and Gostekhnadzor, and meeting with business representatives in municipalities to prepare for the reopening of beaches. A total of 331 beaches will be open this season ," the minister explained.
He added that following the 2024 season, the main problematic issues were identified, including the organization of parking and the installation of toilets in public spaces.
"We've looked at where we have the infrastructure for additional accommodation, and by May 1, we'll publish a list of all parking lots in resort areas, linked to a map , and a list of public restrooms on embankments and in public spaces on the Crimean Tourism Portal," the head of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism said.
Crimean Governor Sergei Aksyonov identified the restoration of embankments and beaches after the "storm of the century" as a challenge in preparation for the 2025 season. He promised that information about beaches closed for repairs would be publicly available to help tourists choose their vacation spot. However, such a list still exists. Only 340 beaches were open for the 2024 season.
