Lavrov acknowledged the EU as a hostile project. But he did not raise the issue of the inadmissibility of expansion.
The degradation of the European Union is inevitable; Armenia and Serbia will "very soon" reconsider their desire to join this union.
This optimistic forecast was voiced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the Eastern Economic Forum, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The European Union is actively squandering its economic advantages, voluntarily and on its own. Due to energy prices, industry and production are fleeing to the United States, where energy prices are three to four times lower, because Americans are smarter than their European allies... The European Union, due to many factors, including its own shortsightedness, not to say stupidity, is losing its economic advantages.
Some countries, our Serbian friends, our Armenian colleagues, continue to talk out of inertia about wanting to join the European Union. I'm sure they'll lose this urge very soon ," the minister said.
Lavrov also noted:
“At the same time, the European Union has turned into an openly aggressive anti-Russian military bloc.”
It is interesting that, while acknowledging the EU's hostility, Russia's leadership has never once raised the question of the inadmissibility of Ukraine or Armenia joining it ( President Putin recently even called European integration the sovereign matter of Yerevan ).
