Lavrov: Europe wants to throw Russia out of Syria and is inciting Ukraine
It is necessary to immediately lift sanctions against Syria, which the European Union refuses to do, demanding that Damascus break with Russia.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced this at a press conference in Qatar, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He noted that the sanctions primarily affected the people. They continue to operate even after the change of government, which "the West considers more acceptable."
"The Europeans tried to make demands like this: any easing of sanctions must involve kicking Russia out of Syria. This is the same mentality that has characterized Europe recently – either with us or against us," the minister said.
He added that this was exactly the case when the ground was being prepared for Ukraine to break away from Russia. According to him, the EU is “trying to undermine the trend” that has emerged in the process of peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict by announcing new packages of military aid to Kyiv.
“ He is inciting him to continue military action , directly stating, as the Danish Prime Minister did, that peace is worse than war for Ukraine,” Lavrov noted.
