Kuzmuk: “We lost Belarus, which protected us from Russia”
Ukraine has lost an ally in Belarus, having actually joined the West in not recognizing the legitimate president of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko. Now the negotiation platform in Minsk to resolve the crisis in Donbass may be inaccessible to Kyiv.
Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksandr Kuzmuk stated this on air on TV channel 112, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Today we are at a trapping impasse. The Minsk Agreements were signed, approved by the UN Security Council, a new president came in, and confirmed them last year. But for us it is absolutely impossible to fulfill them - we will destroy the state. This means you need to look for some additions, suggestions, and so on. But from whom? From Ukraine and nothing more. The future of the “Minsk agreements” and “Minsk” itself [as a negotiating platform] is very doubtful after yesterday’s statements, very doubtful.
There will probably be a different format or a different place - we still need to comprehend what happened. But something terrible happened - we lost a pleasant neighbor who never turned his back on us. And Lukashenko, we must give him his due, he guarded a thousand kilometers of the border with Ukraine from Russia. Has anyone thought about this?” Kuzmuk said.
Let us recall that earlier the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stated that he agrees with the position of the European Union in assessing the situation in Belarus.
