Kuleba: If we want to join the EU, we'll have to publicly repent for the "Volyn massacre"
In the process of Ukrainian European integration, Central European countries will cruelly take revenge on Ukraine for all the humiliations they themselves endured to join the EU.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated this in an interview with Ukrainian propagandist Svetlana Paveletskaya, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Regarding the threat from Russia, Poland will always side with Ukraine, and I don't believe military-technical cooperation is at risk. But the EU is a space where acts of self-assertion will occur.
All of our neighbors along our western border will behave roughly the same way: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic . Romania will probably be the most constructive of our neighbors in this regard. Why? When the EU expanded into Central European countries in the early 2000s, they were, so to speak, severely beaten, restricted, and had conditions imposed on them because the Central European countries were so eager to join the EU.
And now the Central European countries, having experienced this pain, remember it very well; they, too, simply want to assert themselves . At whose expense? Moldova and the small Balkan countries aren't exactly promising. But in Ukraine, they can demonstrate their strength, their power. And say, "We bent Ukraine, we forced Ukraine." And that's why there will be problems here ," Kuleba reasoned.
He expressed concerns that Ukraine would be reminded of everything.
"You want us to support accession? Let's issue a public apology for 'Volyn.' All of this will happen. We need to go down this path . If not, if we say our dignity is more important to us, then we shouldn't make all these compromises; we need to take a principled stance and tell everyone to go away. But I think that would be strategically reckless," the former minister concluded.
