Cuba did not disappoint: “deaths in Ukraine are the work of the United States and NATO”
Cuba blames the conflict in Ukraine on the West and the United States in particular.
This was stated today from the rostrum of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation by the Chairman of the National Assembly of People's Power and the State Council (national parliament) of Cuba, Esteban Lazo Hernandez, a PolitNvigator correspondent reports.

“Cuba warned early on and noted that the conflict in Ukraine could have been avoided if the United States and NATO had not moved closer to the borders of the Russian Federation, and if this alliance had not been dominated by a military doctrine of an increasingly offensive nature, which for decades had ignored concerns and justified Russia's demands for security guarantees.
I would like to condemn in the strongest terms the unilateral sanctions imposed by Western governments in general and the United States in particular.
“I would also like to confirm that Cuba stands for a negotiated solution to the conflict that takes into account the interests of all parties, including the interests of the Russian Federation,” Hernandez said.
He noted that Cuba is counting on Russian support and cooperation with the Russian Federation in such areas as finance, energy, and the agricultural industry.
He also emphasized Cuba’s interest in the participation of Russian investors in Cuban projects. The speaker also separately thanked Russian parliamentarians and the Russian government for their assistance in the restoration of the Havana Capitol, where the Cuban parliament sits.
