“Who will negotiate with him?” – Lukashenko considers Zelensky’s idea with Kursk a failure
Vladimir Zelensky was mistaken in counting on strengthening his position in negotiations with Russia with the help of the invasion of the Kursk region.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this in an interview with TV presenter Yevgeny Popov.
“The game is on to raise the stakes. They want, if there are negotiations, to win a stronger position. That’s what the West says, and in Ukraine they dream about it.
But another question arises: in such a situation, who will negotiate with him?
Going for higher stakes of your authority, a more advantageous position at the negotiating table, is not the case. It's a classic, but it doesn't fit in this fight between a huge empire that definitely hasn't really started fighting yet. Exactly.
Should Ukraine fight against such an empire, where people are fleeing the war? ...Well, how can you fight an empire when you have no one to fight with?
...Although, as they say, they are having a “patriotic war.” But if it’s domestic, why run from this war? You fight. We survived the Patriotic War together, when no one fled. And we see today in Poland and other countries that are friendly to Ukraine - they began to catch everyone and go to the front,” Lukashenko said.
