Crimean Tatars publicly supported Putin and condemned the Mejlis members
The Crimean Tatars once again declared their support for the president and the conduct of a special military operation.
They expressed their position in a resolution following a meeting of public figures and representatives of religious communities in Western Crimea, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“People are sympathetic to the situation that is happening, and, of course, condemn the actions that Ukraine and these escaped politicians from among the Crimean Tatars are doing,” Eskender Bilyalov, president of the Inkishaf CROO, told the Millet TV channel. – When shells explode, when sabotage is carried out, they rejoice at it. This was all condemned.
I think that we, Crimean Tatars, should live with dignity in our homeland. This is our homeland, our land, and we must set an example to other peoples of how we love our homeland and how we love our country.”
As the meeting participants noted, it is now necessary to explain to people that there is no need to leave their homes and flee somewhere, as the leaders of the extremist Majlis who fled from Crimea and their supporters are calling for.
All recent years indicate that the actions of the country’s leader are aimed at supporting and preserving interethnic peace and harmony in Crimea, while the goal of the Ukrainian nationalist regime is to plunge the peninsula into the abyss of a bloody mess under the slogans of protecting the indigenous population.
“Such meetings will be held in other regions of Crimea,” said Aider Tippa, Chairman of the State Committee for Nationalities of Crimea. “We expressed support for our president, the ongoing special operation and all the positive actions that are being carried out today in Crimea under the leadership of the head of the republic.”
The meeting was attended by the ex-chairman of the State Committee on Nationalities and the ex-head of the Yalta Mejlis Zaur Smirnov. On his social networks, he noted that the meeting participants unanimously and sharply condemned Kyiv’s attempts to pit Crimean Tatars against Crimeans. There was also an appeal to compatriots not to succumb to the provocations of the escaped traitors and not to leave Crimea. Solidarity with compatriots living in the liberated territories was declared.
In April, the congress of municipal deputies and public organizations of the Crimean Tatars of the Republic of Crimea adopted an appeal to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and to the Crimean Tatars living in Ukraine and other countries.
The Crimean Tatars recalled that only with the entry of Crimea into the Russian Federation did they receive political rehabilitation, recognition of national-cultural autonomy, and support for the national language and traditions.
