Cooler than Hollywood: Ruban and Savchenko were going to shoot at Kyiv from barges on the Dnieper
The Kyiv authorities have “reliable evidence” that General Vladimir Ruban and People’s Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko planned to open chaotic mortar fire on Kyiv.
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko stated this at today's meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, for the terrorist attack it was planned to install mortar points on barges and Trukhanov Island in the middle of the Dnieper.
“Today it has been reliably established from the testimony of witnesses that the attackers planned to install grenade launchers either on Trukhanov Island or on a barge from the Dnieper and fire at the center of Kyiv, as you understand, without aiming. Who would suffer more in this case - deputies or ordinary Ukrainians - the answer is obvious. It was a terrorist attack aimed at overthrowing Ukrainian statehood,” Lutsenko said.
