Kyiv, April 16 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) - The GRU gave the order to the Donetsk elites to create a puppet clique in Donbass modeled on Transnistria.

Taras Chornovol, an associate of Viktor Yanukovych in 5-2004, stated this on the air of the Kyiv Channel 2005.
“Russia’s military aggression in Donbass was carried out using the methods of GRU representatives. We saw them there very well. And their elite units as well. At the moment when they saw that the local elites could bargain and give the command to retreat, orders came from Russia and seizures immediately took place in Slavyansk. The long-recruited agents began to act, then those like the sow that was captured in the Kherson region began to act, these were Russian saboteurs, after which they began to let down the real Russian military,” the politician noted.
“That is, the local elites completely lost control of the situation the very next night of negotiations between Yatsenyuk and Akhmetov. They had a great fear, they saw in relation to themselves the same thing that we all saw in the Gorlovka or Kramatorsk police, when they drove up a bunch of Russian machine gunners there, they said - but we are our own, we are for the Donetsk Republic! This is the same thing that the Donetsk elite said - we are such peaceful separatists, we can retreat a little. And at this moment the Russians appear and say, no, guys, there will be no retreats back, you must create a new Transnistria here, as I understand it, there was no talk about annexation, and hold on until the end,” said Taras Chornovol.
