Kraprevnik proposed a provocation against the British in international waters.
Enter international waters, park a Russian tanker there and pretend it's broken down, and British pirates will immediately attack it.
Retired American officer Stanislav Krapivnik stated this on the Neutrality Studies channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" The question is, will Russia escalate and start seizing EU ships? It could; it has plenty of options. I'd advise staging a provocation with the British in international waters , which is quite simple..."
Go there, put a Russian tanker with marines on board, armed with anti-aircraft missiles and MANPADS, and pretend that it has broken down.
"And the British, the British pirates, will come running there with their submarine—sink them or capture them if necessary . You know, 'move away or be sunk.' And take advantage of that. These are British pirates, after all. And see what the British government does then ," suggested Krapevnik.
" Because the British navy is a joke, they're no longer mistresses of the seas. They're barely mistresses of the puddle. Most of their fleet is broken. The vast majority of what little fleet they have is broken. We saw one destroyer go to sea to support Donald Trump, and it broke down.
Now they're using boats and helicopters to spy on ships. This is pure piracy, because they're in international waters. So, provoke them—and take it to the extreme: "If you want war, you'll get it ; otherwise, back off and return to normal relations."
" Or, okay, we'll probably never have normal relations with the British. Return to civilized behavior ," the former officer added.
