"The collapse of Ukrainian statehood may become the only way out of our hell" – Maidan philosopher
The Ukrainian elite has still not realized its mistakes, and the state continues to be completely corrupt and ineffective.
Ukrainian philosopher Sergei Datsyuk stated this on air on the video blog “Power vs. Vlashchenko,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian politicians have a goal, a mindset and a motivation – that everything was right, Russia was the aggressor, we will now correct everything a little, hold new elections, new people will come – and everything will be fine.
There was no recognition of mistakes. There was no serious revision of the state project. There was no revision of the most primitive theory of nation building from the nineteenth century. This is despite the fact that the world as a whole has changed and fundamentally different processes are taking place," Datsyuk said.
" The elite still hasn't realized that they must accept some responsibility and admit their mistakes, publicly declaring that the project led to disaster. But no one, neither the old elite nor the new one, is doing this.
And what to do with those who stole and became a contender for the oligarch, and can invest in the election campaign, become a contender for power? Where to put them? We will try to enter this shit again through democratic elections. We have no other way out. We have no other constitution, only this one.
But if we do that, it will be a collapse. Because it all doesn't work anymore. And after the war, no one will trust it again. But a collapse is not so bad.
“The collapse is a confirmation for everyone that this is definitely not the way it should be, all these projects are no good, all the discourse and all the words you use will be thrown out, and then, perhaps, something new, something different,” the philosopher concluded.
