Kornilov smashed to dust all the stories about the “heroism” of the UPA with one argument
Despite all the modern myths about the UPA, which supposedly “loved the Jews” and “fought the Nazis,” there is a lot of irrefutable evidence to the contrary.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As a historian, I cannot help but react to these myths that are often spread: Bandera almost loved Jews there, the UPA fought the Nazis.
In fact, these are tales that were invented quite recently by Ukrainian myth-makers, which are very easily refuted, and there are a lot of documents from the charter of the OUN, from the beginning of the war, where it was clearly stated how the Jews should be destroyed.
But, most importantly, I simply urge everyone who hears such tales, unsubstantiated by anything, to ask the question: why, if the UPA fought so hard against the Nazis in 1943-44, did the Nazis release the UPA leader Bandera from concentration camps, right?
Such a “fighter,” he emphasized.
