Deltabank convulsions: Clients of one of the largest financial institutions in Ukraine cannot withdraw 200 hryvnia
Kyiv, December 25 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Semenyuta) – One of the largest banks in Ukraine – Deltabank – is in a state of financial coma. Despite the assurances of the bank’s main shareholder Nikolai Lagun, who promised to pour up to UAH 1,2 billion into the institution. and resume its full operation, clients storm the branches and cannot receive even 200 UAH.

The situation in the financial institution is actively discussed in the forum on the profile portal Finance.ua.
Eyewitnesses report huge queues near the branches, where you need to stand for about 1,5 hours to get 200 UAH. True, pensioners are luckier - they receive 2500 UAH.
The contents of Deltabank ATMs are emptied literally half an hour after filling with cash. Bank credit cards do not work in stores - it is impossible to pay with them.
"Everyone's in a bad mood; no one believes that things will change for the better after the New Year," writes one client.
Since the beginning of this year, 31 banks have gone bankrupt in Ukraine. The NBU claims that this is far from the end: bank failures will continue in 2015.
