Utilities of Sevastopol are preparing for independence from Kyiv
Sevastopol, February 26 (Navigator, Elena Ostryakova) – The gas pressure in the pipeline at the entrance to Sevastopol is normal, the water reserves in the Chernorechensky reservoir are enough for the city to meet its needs without supplies of Dnieper water. There are no power outages. The removal of solid household waste is stable.
Alexander Panasyuk, head of the Housing and Public Utilities Department of the SSSA, stated this at a meeting in the Sevastopol state administration.

“I would like political processes not to affect the life of the city. I understand that there are other problems on our minds now. But if we want to work ourselves and not depend on the state budget, we must realize responsibility in addition to slogans. The same Sevastopol residents who stand at the rallies work in the city's public services. But when they come home, residents should not feel any changes. We live in the best city in Ukraine,” Panasyuk addressed his subordinates.
He asked Sevastopol residents, in conditions where the city will pay for energy on its own without subsidies from Kyiv, to pay on time and in full for the utility services received. In February, apparently due to the situation in the country, payments decreased from 99,9 to 71,9%.
Panasyuk asked his colleagues to be extremely economical and to prohibit any expenses not related to direct production activities: business trips, payment of bonuses and allowances. Dispatchers must be extremely polite during this difficult time and not cause confusion. The head of housing and communal services called on all employees to show enthusiasm.
“Directors must be prepared to show where they spend citizens’ hard-earned pennies,” Panasyuk said.
