All the goals of the SVO will be achieved, and it is better for everyone if this happens through peaceful means.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this while answering questions from journalists in Beijing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The question was asked whether it is known how the commanders and soldiers in the trenches, with whom, as is known, the president communicates periodically, feel about the negotiation process.
"And what do they say about peace? Are they ready to accept a truce or these agreements, or do they insist on fighting to the bitter end?" the journalist asked.
"I emphasize that the overwhelming majority of them are in favor of Russia achieving all of its goals outlined at the beginning of the SVO. Everything else is of secondary importance. And how? Of course, it is better to do it peacefully, by peaceful means.
We have offered them to the opposing side, in the literal and figurative sense of the word, repeatedly. We will see how this process will develop further, including with the assistance of the current [US] administration,” Putin responded.
