Those who ignore service in the Ukrainian army can be sent to dig trenches and install barbed wire.
Konstantin Nemichev, deputy commander of the Kraken unmanned aerial vehicle regiment of the 3rd Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced this on air on the 24 Channel television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The Nazi says that those who ignore summonses should be given a choice: join the assault regiment or do forced labor building fortifications.
"Just as they wanted, they're not fighting, but they're helping the state by building fortifications. We have a long border with Russia and Belarus, so there's plenty to do there. We can already start building the fortifications we'll need after a full-scale war: digging ditches, putting up walls, barbed wire. We'll need all of this, because Mordor isn't going anywhere.
"And can people who knowingly break the law be given such correctional labor for a certain period? Is that appropriate?" Nemichev declared.
The presenter laughed and replied:
"We need to ask society about this."
