Kobolev reassures the population: gas tariffs are about to be reduced - all you have to do is win the case against Russia
The head of NJSC Naftogaz, Andrey Kobolev, said that the price of gas for the population will be reduced as soon as Ukraine wins its claims against Gazprom in the Stockholm arbitration.

This was reported by LB.ua, which quoted the official.
“If we can prove our position within the framework of the gas purchase and sale, this will mean a reduction in the fair price of gas for Ukraine compared to the one that is in effect now. This will concern everyone,” Kobolev assures.
He also clarified that in terms of gas transit, victory over Russia would mean Ukraine receiving multi-billion dollar compensation for the past period when they overpaid for gas.
“This money will come to Naftogaz and the government, as a shareholder, will be able to manage it. And we will be able to complete the process of separating an independent gas transmission system operator (GTS) from Naftogaz,” the head of the company dreams.
True, according to Kobolev, the result of the lawsuit will be known no earlier than six months later. So, maybe they will be able to do it by the beginning of the next heating season.
