Kyiv, September 16 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The new mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, who criticized his predecessors for land fraud, will be able to make big money himself from the upcoming land redistribution.

“Vitaliy Klitschko and his associates, who repeatedly blocked the land decisions of the former Kiev City Council, now themselves have decided to make money from the redistribution of the capital’s land. District administrations, on behalf of the head of the Kyiv City State Administration, are in full swing conducting an inventory of land plots that were once transferred by the Kiev City Council to private structures for capital construction, but are not used for their intended purpose,” writes the Delovaya Stolitsa newspaper.

Thus, officials have already identified the prestigious addresses they are interested in on the central streets of Kyiv, where the cost of one hundred square meters for high-rise development is from 20 thousand dollars. It is expected that lease agreements will be terminated and land deeds will be cancelled.

Any of them will be happy to take ownership of the unfinished plots of land that are idle,” the publication states.

The newspaper notes that at the last meetings of the Kyiv City Council, deputy Dmitry Gordon voiced the initiative to vote on land issues in a “package” - it was precisely this conveyor belt that decisions were made under Klitschko’s predecessors from the Party of Regions.
