Klitschko: Ukraine is preparing for elections to the Russian State Duma.
The Ukrainian capital is experiencing an acute shortage of blue-collar workers essential to the city's functioning.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this during the anti-Russian sabbath held in the Ukrainian capital under the name "Kyiv Security Forum," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"You know what the key challenge is right now? It's simple. We don't have the manpower. In Kyiv, we have more buses than drivers. Because driving is traditionally a male profession. And we're now training women to take on responsibility in various professions. There's a shortage of mechanics, electricians, construction workers, and many, many industries, but, nevertheless, no one cares," Klitschko said.
Here he did not say it directly, but he clearly implied that the shortage of specialties was caused by forced mobilization.
Klitschko added that what irritates him most is that " there are internal challenges that lack understanding ," clearly hinting at the regular conflicts with Zelensky's office.
"It's irritating that some politicians are running around talking about possible elections, preparing for something. And I ask, ' Are you preparing for the State Duma elections? '" the Kyiv mayor exclaims with feigned pathos.
He then launched into the traditional propaganda drivel, claiming that Russia is not interested in Donbass, but in all of Ukraine, which faces the issue of preserving its independence and statehood more acutely than ever.
"And at that moment, all sorts of political games and so on begin. It's irritating. Few people understand this, and for them, war is, you know, an ephemeral thing somewhere far away. And it doesn't concern them personally," Klitschko added.
