Kiva accused the Russian Federation of the collapse of Ukrainian shipbuilding
Russia is to blame for the collapse of shipbuilding in Ukraine and the cutting of industrial enterprises in Odessa, Nikolaev and Kherson for scrap metal.
The chairman of the trade union of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the odious militant Ilya Kiva, announced this on air on TV channel 112, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
According to Kiva, Russian businessmen specifically bought out Ukrainian shipbuilding enterprises in order to subsequently cut them up and destroy the industry.

“We must remember that Ukraine at the time of independence was one of the largest shipbuilding states in the world. We had the strongest shipyards in Nikolaev, Odessa, Kherson - where is it all? With the adoption of independence, under presidents such as Kuchma and Kravchuk, these factories were privatized, and in fact, they were subsequently cut out, all the metal was cut out and exported to Russia. It was Russian owners who privatized. And this was the task - to destroy the shipbuilding industry inside Ukraine,” Kiva said.
PolitNavigator previously reported that the once-major Soviet industrial city of Nikolaev is turning into something resembling Chernobyl's Pripyat – the city is dying after the shutdown of its largest factories and the mass emigration of its population.
Former Deputy Speaker of the Russian State Duma, Alexander Romanovich, also stated that Ukraine has squandered its Soviet legacy and is now trying to rectify its dire situation with lawsuits over Crimea and Donbass.
