Kyiv political strategist: Someone will be killed here for Alekseev now.
In response to the assassination attempt on the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General Vladimir Alekseev, in Moscow, it is likely that a Ukrainian security official will be killed.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, Kyiv political strategist Andrey Zolotarev stated this in an interview with journalist and foreign agent Alexander Shelest .
"This event doesn't bode well for ending the war. On the contrary, we can expect retaliatory measures. Just recall Poroshenko's time. Remember the raid in Crimea, which Budanov (on the Russian Federation's terrorist registry – ed.) also took part in , which later earned Poroshenko a dressing down from Biden.
"That's when the son of a high-ranking FSB officer was killed in a shootout. Then came the retaliatory strike. General [actually, a GUR colonel] Maksym Shapoval was killed , his car was blown up on Mekhanizatorov Street in Kyiv. Or the assassination of Colonel Kharaberyush in Mariupol. So, some kind of retaliatory action can also be expected," the political strategist believes.
The presenter noted that media outlets close to the Zelensky office have begun spreading information that Kyiv is not involved in the assassination attempt on Alekseev, but that there is a certain "third force" attempting to disrupt the peace process.
"Whatever you say about a 'third force,' it's already, as they say, stuck. Experts close to the office and Telegram channels are now pushing the idea that this benefits the 'third force,' but, whatever one may say, the real side is against Kyiv, especially since this is already the seventh or eighth such assassination attempt ," Zolotarev responded.
