Kiev MP: US ambassadors know better what we need
When the United States gives Kyiv any recommendations and instructions, this should be perceived as concern for Ukrainian democracy, and not as some kind of external control factor.
The ex-governor of the Kyiv region, deputy of the regional council Alexander Gorgan said this on the air of the 112 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When we evaluate the position of this or that ambassador, we very often measure them according to the patterns of Ukrainian politicians - these are completely different people, this is a completely different culture! They sincerely believe in their missionary work, that they bring democracy, a free society, the rule of law, an open world, they sincerely believe that they know better what we need, hear me! This means that we sometimes perceive certain statements by US ambassadors as such a challenge that they have no right - they very often know more pro-Ukrainian politicians than you and I! Because they know transactions in offshore jurisdictions,” the regional deputy flashed with his knowledge.
“I can say for sure that when the United States today recommends something for Ukraine, do not perceive it as some kind of external control factor. They sincerely strive to ensure that there is a free economy here, that there are rich citizens, that there is a rule of law state that can protect, among other things, their investments,” added Gorgan, without explaining why citizens are not getting rich for so long .
