The publication recalls that four years ago Maidan activists overthrew President Yanukovych.
“But today yesterday's winners feel deceived. The new president, Petro Poroshenko, is himself heavily criticized. Several months ago, hundreds of opponents of the regime again set up a tent camp, this time right in front of the parliament building. Maidan veterans and homeless people,” the newspaper writes.
At the same time, the publication notes that “the economy is sagging” and “freedom of the press is being limited.”
“But in front of the Hilton Hotel, an old lady sells women's underpants in huge sizes. The average Ukrainian pension is less than 75 euros. GDP officially grew by 2% last year,” the newspaper points out.
At the same time, German economic lawyer Wolfram Rebock, who has been working in Kyiv for over 15 years, told the publication that the volume of the Ukrainian economy has decreased by 2013% compared to 50.
“Most of the cases I've been involved in lately have involved closing companies or projects,” Rebock said.
