Kyiv demands that the DPR and LPR ship coal to it for free

“The state budget of Ukraine blocked 218 million hryvnia in the accounts of Donetsk mines. In addition, the state budget owes 816 million hryvnia to the salary fund of Donbass mines. Donbass miners have not received salaries since July. Against this background, there is no need to talk about the return of coal. We are going to implement it and pay off the debts,” says the DPR Ministry of Fuel and Energy Complex in a comment regarding the statement by the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Vladimir Demchishin that this fuel belongs to Ukraine.
DPR Transport Minister Semyon Kuzmenko also commented on this statement. “We are united in our position and are forced to disappoint Kyiv: coal belongs to the enterprises of the DPR and LPR […] The only possible option for cooperation was a complete ceasefire on the part of the Ukrainian security forces and the withdrawal of troops,” the publication quotes.
