“If before the start of this war the world really said: “Come on, after all, the Russians de facto control the territory of Crimea, there is a great danger of a big war in Europe,” then after the start of this war any obstacles to saying this disappeared. That is, there is no diplomatic path to liberate Crimea.
De jure, the territory is absolutely clearly qualified in international law as the territory of Ukraine. Of course, there are citizens of Ukraine there, of course, this is stolen territory. We are simply saying that something there is de facto controlled by the Russians - no, this is just ordinary stolen territory that should be returned to Ukraine.
And today’s events show that legally there was no referendum there, and the Russians themselves understand this, and panic begins. And the world, by the way, already understands, it speaks openly, all representatives of France, Germany, Italy, and other countries, they speak with understanding: “We already understand that Crimea will be liberated by any means.”
By the way, Mr. Zelensky clearly says about this that we are gradually, as this war develops, we are increasing the specifics in this war. That is, all territories must be liberated, and they will be liberated, because this intense war, unfortunately, is carried out by military means,” Podolyak said.
